HA Group is new member of the Together for Sustainability initiative
An important global milestone of our HA sustainability strategy has been reached – the HA Group is now an official member of the Together for Sustainability initiative!
Since October 18th, the HA Group is one of 50 members of the Together for Sustainability initiative (TfS). That makes us the first company from the foundry chemicals sector to join the alliance, which among others also includes BASF, Bayer, Covestro, Momentive and Wanhua. A requirement for membership is extensive auditing of sustainability practices by TfS and independent auditors.
As part of the initiative, the HA Group benefits from collaboration and interaction with a large, international network. The aim is to use standardized tools to assess and improve sustainability performance in the areas of environment, management, human rights, health and safety throughout the chemical sector. It is therefore all the more important to lead by example and drive collaboration and corporate commitment to greater sustainability.
What does the Together for Sustainability initiative do?
The Together for Sustainability initiative is an organization of the chemical industry and was founded in 2011. Its goal is to effectively audit the sustainability performance of the chemical industry, create standards and transparency, and thus implement more sustainable sourcing practices for companies and suppliers in the long term. In doing so, the initiative relies on the exchange and collaboration of all members for a more sustainable chemical sector worldwide.
The extensive basic requirements for admission include membership in the UN Global Compact, a good Ecovadis rating, and a public strategic commitment to sustainability.
