GIFA 23 - Successful together

With a total of 63,300 visitors, the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds once again became the center of the metal andfoundry industry from 12 to 16 June 2023. For the HA Group, the world's leading trade fair GIFA ended withgreat success: The stand in Hall 12 turned into a real attraction for the international visitors.

Already 12 days before GIFA opened its doors again forvisitors from all over the world, the construction of thebooth started on 31 May 2023. It was designed by MC2Europe GmbH from Hilden and built on the exhibition grounds in Hall 12 by a great team. During stand construction, the sustainability concept of the HA Group was also consistently realized: around 70% ofthe stand was built from reusable materials.

With this in mind, intensive communication and face-to-face contact with the various representatives of the industry played a key role for our international sales team, consisting of employees from over 20 countries. After the restrictions of the last few years, the opportunity to meet and network again was of great importance. This was particularly evident on Tuesday, when the number of visitors at the stand visibly reached its first peak. Animated conversations in a relaxed mood and a multitude of languages characterized the overall picture.

Also the product presentations - whether as exhibits, videos or information material led to numerous expert discussions and new contacts.

HArt - Creative product presentation for a good cause

Our colleagues from the Coatings Product Management proved how aesthetically and creatively our coatings can beused. Our art auction "HArt" supports UNICEF aid projects in Yemen - which makes it even more gratifying that someworks were bought directly on site.

Also this year, the HA Group participated in the youth campaign of the Messe Düsseldorf and the foundry associations. The aim is to give young visitor groups an understanding of the foundry industry. The shortage of skilled workers is a significant challenge and many young people often do not have this industry in mind when choosing a career. Yet there are numerous career opportunities, covering an enormous range of professions, apprenticeships and degree programmes. There are also exciting prospects in the areas of digitisation, sustainability and the circular economy.

The young people showed great commitment in a quiz on the topic of "You can't do without cast iron". From water faucets to heating fittings, many castings from everyday life were recognized and the diversity of our industry was made clear. Finally, lasting GIFA memories were created not only by the young people during a cheerful photo activity.
