Less is more - Gas-curing core manufacturing process

The emission-reduced hybrid - carbophene

In the field of steel, gray iron and aluminum casting, the Carbophen single-component system from Hüttenes-Albertus has already been optimizing the production of cores for years. The low-emission hybrid has a high proportion of inorganic components and thus enables energy-saving casting. The binder contains no nitrogen, sulfur or phosphorus. Moreover, no amine and thus no scrubber are required, saving energy costs in exhaust air purification. In addition, improved core decay can be observed during casting and veining is almost eliminated.
