HA Korea celebrates ground-breaking ceremony for new plant in Miryang
HA Korea has held an official groundbreaking ceremony for its new production facility at the National Nano Convergence Industrial Complex in Miryang. The construction marks an important milestone in the company's strategic expansion - with the aim of further increasing production capacity and sustainably supporting South Korea's key industries.
The new facility is being built on a 4,643 square metre site and will have a usable area of 1,811 square metres. The plans include an office building, four warehouses, a modern three-storey production hall and a technical room for extinguishing water supply. The plant is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026 and will significantly increase HA Korea's national production output.

HA Korea, headquartered in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, is a leading supplier of organic foundry binders and supplies the South Korean foundry industry with high-quality resins and coatings. As a subsidiary of the German HA Group, HA Korea consistently pursues the goal of providing innovative and high-quality solutions for the industry.
During the ceremony, CEO Gee-ho Bae emphasised the importance of the project for the company and the region: ‘The products manufactured in Miryang will play a central role in our key industries. This construction project is centred on safety and integrity - values that both the entire HA Group stands for. We also want to grow with the local community - with and for Miryang.’
Mr Young-hyun Go, CEO of the general contractor for industrial plants ‘Sejong Technology’, also praised the location decision: ‘Despite difficult conditions, investments were made in Miryang. This is a strong signal for South Korea as a high-tech location.’ He assured that Sejong Technology would adhere to the highest standards in planning and construction.
On behalf of the city, Ms Yoon-Hee Hyun, Director of the Department of Nano Convergence, welcomed HA Korea's commitment: ‘Miryang is determined to actively support companies - from setting up operations to successful growth. The development of the industrial complex to date is an impressive demonstration of the potential that exists here.’
With the new plant, HA Korea is sending a strong signal in favour of innovation, quality and regional partnership - and at the same time strengthening South Korea's industrial future.
