The use of Granuscar
GRANUSCAR (filler for noozle ladle) is a mixture of refractory granulates that is used in steel mills ladles for the free opening of the noozle ladle.
The granulate must ensure the highest free opening perfomances. At the same time it has to avoid the presence of slag and other refractory particle inside the nozzle. It provides an appropriate sintered layer to avoid the infiltration and solidification of liquid steel between sand particles.
The granulates produced by HA-Italia named “GRANUSCAR” achieves up to 98% of free openings.
