Who we are

The broad technical know-how together with numerous international partnerships and advanced technologies make HA Group (Hüttenes-Albertus), currently present in more than 30 Countries, the only Italian supplier of chemicals whose know-how embraces a high number of industrial sectors.
Our activity in the road sector is focussed on the production and sales of high-performing additives for bitumen and asphalt mixes.

Adhesion Promoters

They ensure the perfect adhesion between bitumen/aggregate, avoiding that the bitumen film separates from the inert and stopping the destroying action of water, increasing in this way the life of the road pavement.

Rejuvenators

They enable the regeneration of oxidized bitumen that comes from RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement) and restore the chemical and physical characteristics of the binder, that it had lost during oxidation process.

Warm-Mix Asphalts

They enable to produce, install and compact the asphalt mixes at considerably lower temperatures than usual, obtaining Hot Mix Asphalts; that means lower environmental impact and less energy consumption.

Flux-Oils

They enable to obtain plastic Cold Mix Asphalts that can be processed at room temperature and can be used as fixing holes in the road maintenance.

Emulsifiers

These surfactants are necessary to produce cationic (acid) and anionic (basic) bitumen emulsions; they enable to disperse the bitumen in the form of water drops, two materials not mixable together.

Modifiers

They ensure the rheo-mechanical modification of bitumens and asphalt mixes; resulting mix will have better mechanical properties in terms of tensile strength, fatigue resistance, wheel tracking and thermal excursion resistance.

Sealants

Suitable for repairing joints and cracks on the road pavement. The application at room temperature is suitable to seal longitudinal and transverse cracks of a road pavement. Consequently, we can observe a slowdown of cracking and degradation processes of the asphalt pavings.

Pigments For Colored Asphalts

Pigments are used to durably colour the asphalt mixes.

Cellulose Fibers Compounds

Pellets’ compounds based on cellulose micro-fibres are suitable for stabilizing and structuring the bitumen. The resulting road pavement will be more performing (mechanically) and makes possible to increase the amount of bitumen, avoiding in this way that the mix separates or drips.

Anti-Sticking Agents And Crust-Removers

They avoid the adhesion of asphalt mixes on the metal surfaces of the trucks that are transporting them and avoid the development of scale on the equipment used for the application.

Mortars For Urban Design

Suitable for covering bituminous or concrete surfaces that are going to be installed in urban and sports pedestrian areas. Available in all colours, high-strength and non-slip properties.

Road Marking And Tracing Paints

Conceived for the horizontal road marking on bituminous or concrete underlayers; they enable the fast drying and the excellent adhesion to the surface and high covering level.
