GEF Project

What is GEF

GEF, Global Efficiency in Foundy, is a collaboration project with foundries aimed at defining and achieving specific goals to optimize production processes from both a technical and economic perspective.
GEF is based on five key pillars:

  • Research
  • Training
  • Product technological improvement
  • Process optimization
  • Methodology analysis

Why GEF

The project was created to provide foundries with practical solutions aimed at:

  • Optimizing costs and consumption
  • Improving production processes
  • Increasing production yield
  • Reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing processes
  • Enhancing company know-how

Tools and Resources

GEF is developed through:

  • The experience of HA Group and its technical staff
  • Integration and sharing of know-how
  • Research, selection and development of products designed to maximize production efficiency
  • Advanced analytical laboratories, state-of-the-art instruments and modern technological systems

  • Collaboration with international partners, universities and research centers
  • Development of partnerships for specific projects
  • Training programs for foundry technicians

Project Implementation Phases

  • Global analysis of the production process
  • Identification of the production stages where the project will be applied
  • Appointment of a project manager
  • Definition of objectives
  • Preparation and planning of the cooperation proposal
  • Project execution and implementation
  • Monitoring and long-term maintenance of results

Training Courses

The courses are designed for foundry technicians and operators and focus on specific topics selected according to participants’ needs.

They can be held:

  • at the customer’s premises
  • at the Group’s facilities
  • during the development of a GEF project

Training activities:

  • are delivered by specialized personnel of the Group
  • include both theoretical and practical sessions
  • have a duration defined according to the topics covered
  • can be integrated directly into project activities

When training is carried out together with a specific project, it supports all phases of study and implementation, including analysis and monitoring of the achieved results.
